Don’t fall

Description

This project, commissioned by the Ministry of Culture, aims to install new safety barrier on the balcony of the Genoa Lighthouse. The architects Diego Zoppi and Andrea Marenco developed the project in collaboration with The Good Mood Architecture, who have taken on the challenge of combining safety requirements with the utmost respect for the historical and architectural integrity of the existing structure.
Symbol of the city and a monument of extraordinary importance, the current structure dates back to 1543 and it is the tallest lighthouse in the Mediterranean. However, the need to ensure the safety of visitors has made it essential to implement a tailored intervention with a deep respect for the historical and architectural context of the monument.
