The subject of the artwork is the façade of the famous Casa Milà in Barcelona, popularly known as La Pedrera, realized by Antoni Gaudí. The original painting was made in Barcelona, through mixed media on canvas, and then it was reproduced as high-quality print on different formats to be sold in our shop.
The painting is slightly carved in order to give more the idea of the façade materiality and of the tiles designed by the same architect for Passeig de Gràcia.
The colours used on top are a reference to the bright tones of the Parco Güell mosaics.
In summary, the artwork wants to combine various important identity elements used by Gaudí in his numerous and different works.
